"Daily Star" reported on March 3 that the second "India-Bangladesh Auto Show" was recently held by the Indian Automobile Industry Organization, the Association of Indian Automobile Manufacturers and the Association of Indian Automobile Parts Manufacturers. Bangladesh"s Minister of Commerce, Tipu Munshi, said in his opening speech that Bangladesh would launch an auto industry policy in the next six months to develop its own automobile industry, and Bangladesh Investment Promotion Bureau would implement it. Chairman Kazi M. Aminul Islam said that the growth of the automobile industry in Bangladesh was supported by Indian counterparts, while the Bangladesh government supported private enterprises to invest in the domestic automobile industry.
